Case study for Cavell Primary and Nursery School
Cavell Primary and Nursery School was Designed by Catherine Read whilst working at NPS, this replacement new school project won an NAA Craftsmanship Award in 2005. The main contractor was JS Hay Ltd.
It replaced a tired but much-loved 1930s school building, considered unsuitable for modern teaching.
Key to project success was the level of engagement in the development of the project by the end-users and the ethos of partnering with the Constructor team.
